Our client’s Management Consultancy business is continuing to pursue successful and profitable growth. They therefore require additional skilled consultants, at all levels, who can both add to their capability and contribute to their growth. To help them, you will have technical expertise and also the ability to develop long term relationships with clients. They are committed to growth and believe that they can offer an ideal opportunity for their employees to further their careers in a proactive environment.
Their education sector expertise includes lifelong learning and skills transformation, 14-19 Reform, Quality Improvement, Academies and Building Schools for the Future (BSF).
Their work includes:
• Delivery of DCSF Academy Projects.
• BSF / Procurement projects.
• Development, implementation and review of education policy and regulatory activities.
They currently have an exciting opportunity within their Education team for a senior candidate with a strong Academies specialism. This individual will have a proven track record within this field and will be a driven, ambitious individual with the resilience to work in a challenging environment while contributing to their success in winning and delivering projects. They will also have the capability to influence the company’s future direction and development.
This role requires a thorough understanding of programme delivery in very complex stakeholder environments and a good understanding of the commercial aspects of consultancy delivery i.e. managing the profitability of each job while delivering a high quality service. The successful candidate will also have an in-depth knowledge of the sales process. In addition, you will have managed large multi-disciplinary programmes/projects and have a track record of running and delivering programme/projects from start to a successful finish.
The types of change programmes they manage include large scale restructuring and large IT implementations. As a result, a finance or other professional qualification (e.g. qualified engineer) would be desirable as is familiarity with PRINCE2.
The role requires flexibility around travel/work locations as work is often well outside London for long periods and involves staying in hotels for 2-3 nights per week on average.
