Large public construction projects in Scotland could be subject to delays after the Treasury refused the SNP’s request for a £2bn cash advance.
The SNP asked for the money to fund a new bridge and develop the existing Forth Bridge (pictured). But the Treasury refused the request saying the proposal was not "credible" and urged alternative financing such as PPP.
